LOOKING FORWARD

If you have a physical state goal, such as losing weight or improving your flexibility, be sure to check out your mental & emotional state - are they limiting (constricting) or expanding (enabling) your physical state?

A lot women come to me with the conversation (mental state): “ I wish I could go back to how I was before” - usually this is linked to an old photo where they look slimmer or fitter. While I love nostalgia, beware of the emotional states that often accompany it: regret, resentment, or resignation.

Are your mental and emotional states supporting you to get closer to your physical state goals or are they holding you back?  If they are holding you back, then how to change?

When stuck in unproductive emotional and mental states, here is a different approach:

  1. Look to the past: Notice your emotional state and say “thanks for the reminder of who I was". Accepting and acknowledging create peace.
  2. Look to the future: Shift your mental state : where do you want to be this time next year and why? Ask yourself : “What is possible?” Visioning creates hope and possibility .
  3. Look to the present: What can you do now to have that vision begin to become real? Taking action (physical state) NOW creates Energy and Ambition (emotional state).
